Carlos believes authenticity involves fostering the courage to explore personal values, beliefs, and emotions in relation to who your most real, authentic self is. In the therapeutic journey together, Carlos’s passion is to learn with you what the right and most practical tools are for you in order to help bring about new insights that promote a positive change and a greater sense of well-being.
Carlos is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Andrews University and is currently completing his PhD in Counseling Psychology. His passion lies in guiding individuals through life's challenges, fostering healing, and promoting personal growth.
He specializes in Young Adults as well Ethnic and Sexual Minorities and his areas of focus include depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, grief, self-esteem and LGBTQIA+. Carlos uses evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Person-Centered Therapy.
Carlos was raised in the Dominican Republic and loves spending his free time playing volleyball, cooking, enjoying outdoor activities, listening to music, and spending quality time with friends.
