HC Studios is known for helping people investigate who they take themselves to be. Our approach to Yoga is the same. In a nutshell, HC Yoga prompts inquiry: Am I my body? Am I my thoughts? How do I handle change and discomfort? In a world that is obviously in a constant state of flux, these sorts of questions can help reveal who we are in the midst of change. Do we run? Do we fight? Do we freeze? HC Yoga challenges us to reflect upon who we are in the midst of discomfort and at the same time helps us steady ourselves -- and, it’s also just a pretty darn good Yoga class! So come on in, find a mat, catch your breath, and let our Yoga Specialists guide you.

We’re so happy you’re here.

Rest + Yoga Nidra with Mary Alice

An experience to literally let loose and let go of what’s keeping you awake. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep.” Throughout this class, your body will remain relaxed in a resting, restorative pose, fully supported by props. Believe it or not, in this class, we will learn how to surf between wakefulness and sleep in order to fall into a place of blissful awareness. Sounds a little scary and delicious, right? All body types and activity levels are welcome here.

Recess + Yoga Fusion with Mary Alice

Don’t you miss recess? We think everyone should have at least one recess a day -- a chance to get away from work and play for a hot-minute -- or in this case, for 45 minutes. This mid-day Recess Yoga + Pilates Fusion class will challenge your mind and strengthen your body. In this class, you’ll play around with tapping into your weakness in order to find your strength. For those who are able to stay, there’ll be an extra 10 minutes of Shavasana -- or deep relaxation --  offered at the end of each class before heading back to work.

Retreat + Yoga with Gloria

Sometimes the mind chatter is so loud! Retreat with Gloria and create some quiet mind space. This class combines the transformative practices of yoga and adds a component of quiet and private journaling. This dynamic flow draws upon elements from a variety of styles and provides a challenging practice that ends with a deep relaxation. A win-win for your mind and body. Bring your journal and allow Gloria to guide you.

Release + Yin Yoga with Brandi

Does your desk job leave you tense and tight and all hunched up? Join Brandi in a slow, relaxing practice designed to help you release, unfurl, and sit more comfortably not only in your body but also in your mind. This practice will help you stretch connective tissue around the joints, mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine and involves variations of seated and laying down poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes. These prolonged holds access deeper layers of fascia while moving energy more freely within the body. This practice also gives you the time and space to turn inward a little and tune into both your mind and body. You’ll learn how to breathe through the discomfort and just sit with your thoughts. Each class ends with a restful meditation.
